About
Us
Who Are We Anyway?
NATARAJA - The lovely yellow NATARAJA is a Flying
Dutchman 37. She is a fiberglass sloop that we have owned since October 1998. We
found her in Sausalito and fell in love with her at first sight. She has taken
very good care of us and carried us safely around the Pacific covering just over
27,000 miles. She's the best!
ERIC - grew up sailing and cruised the South
Pacific with his folks when he was a kid, so he pretty much knows what he's
doing. He is a master jury rigger (if he can't fix it, he bypasses it) and can
cook like a pro (we are probably the only people that gain weight on an ocean
passage).
EMMY - didn't start sailing until my 20's but
Eric has taught me well. I am Eric's lovely assistant in fixing things, master
stower of provisions, and foredeck goddess.
Our goal is to see as much of this world as we
can, to weather every storm with as much grace and as little gear failure as
possible and make the best of every situation. Even when the going gets tough,
we just remind ourselves that it could be worse! This is a beautiful planet we
live on and fortunately for us it is made up mostly of water. There really is no
way to describe the beauty of the sea as the sun slowly rises or sets, or the
way the storm clouds gather on the horizon, or the rainbows and moonbows. The
sight of land in the distance after days at sea is a sight to behold. We are
most definitely the lucky ones!

call sign KD5SIT. It's pretty darn cool.
